Retinoschisis, Acquired (Acquired Retinoschisis [RS])
General: Present in 4% to 22% of normal population over age 40 years; splitting in the 555i87f outer plexiform layer; occasionally in the inner nuclear layer; generally asymptomatic.
Ocular: Slowly progressive; may cause retinal detachment when there are breaks in both outer and inner layers of retinoschisis.
Clinical: None.
